2025-2026 MOEMS Competition

*MOEMS* (Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools) is a well-known international math competition specifically designed for elementary and middle school students. The purpose of this competition is to spark students’ interest in mathematics and enhance their problem-solving skills. MOEMS is divided into two levels:

• Elementary Division (Grades 4–6)
• Middle School Division (Grades 6–8)

Each season, students participate in five rounds of competition over five months, covering a wide range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, number theory, and logical reasoning. Students accumulate points in each round, and rankings and awards are based on their total scores after all five rounds.

MOEMS emphasizes independent thinking and creative problem-solving skills, encouraging students to tackle challenging problems within a set time limit. Through participation, students not only strengthen their math abilities but also build confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking. This competition offers thousands of students worldwide a chance to showcase their mathematical talents and grow as learners.

In-Person Competition Schedule (New York Area)

Students in the New York area can participate in person at iLearning's test center in Little Neck, NY. Students outside the area may join the competition online.

• Round 1: Sunday, November 16, 2025 – 1:30–2:00 PM
• Round 2: Sunday, December 14, 2025 – 1:30–2:00 PM
• Round 3: Sunday, January 18, 2026 – 1:30–2:00 PM
• Round 4: Sunday, February 15, 2026 – 1:30–2:00 PM
• Round 5: Sunday, March 15, 2026 – 1:30–2:00 PM

Online Competition Schedule

Students may complete each round at any time within the following date ranges:

• Round 1: November 15–21, 2025
• Round 2: December 13–19, 2025
• Round 3: January 17–23, 2026
• Round 4: February 14–20, 2026
• Round 5: March 14–20, 2026
