• Math Team

The iLearning Math Team is designed for elementary, middle, and high school students who are passionate about mathematics and eager to challenge themselves.

Our competition training integrates the U.S. mathematics curriculum with content from leading and widely recognized math competitions. Through long-term, systematic instruction, students develop logical reasoning skills, problem-solving techniques, and effective competition strategies. Our primary goal is to help students achieve breakthroughs, build confidence, and grow through participation in a wide range of mathematics competitions.

Each class focuses on developing analytical thinking, improving speed and accuracy, and fostering a love for mathematics. Students engage with carefully selected practice problems, mock exams, and collaborative discussions to gain confidence and readiness for math competitions.

    📚 Math Team Programs

The Math Competition Team regularly offers challenging and engaging thematic math camps on topics such as:

    • Number Sense
    • Mental Math
    • Prime Numbers
    • Graph Theory
    • Geometry
    • Number and Visual Patterns
    • Counting and Probability
    • Mathematical Proof and Logical Reasoning

Each thematic math camp provides an intensive exploration of a particular area of mathematics. Through historical figures, background stories, classic problems, group discussions, and exploratory activities, students broaden their perspectives and develop a deeper understanding of the topic.

Unlike traditional courses, these camps do not focus primarily on repetitive problem-solving practice. Instead, students are encouraged to investigate the patterns, relationships, and ideas behind mathematical concepts. The camps are designed to expand students’ mathematical horizons, strengthen their mathematical thinking, cultivate deeper reasoning, and inspire continued interest in learning mathematics.

  • AoPS Geometry Class

Geometry marks an important transition from middle school mathematics to high school mathematics and plays a critical role in helping students improve their AMC 10 performance. It builds upon students’ prior knowledge of algebra, counting, probability, and number theory, while also being one of the most comprehensive and challenging courses in the AoPS Introduction-level series.

At the geometry stage, learning is no longer limited to memorizing formulas and applying them directly. Students must learn to integrate visual analysis, logical reasoning, and algebraic computation. Rather than simply calculating an answer, they need to understand the relationships among geometric figures and use those relationships to develop rigorous and well-rounded mathematical thinking.

Students who have gaps in their foundational knowledge may begin to struggle noticeably when they reach geometry. This is also why some students perform well on the AMC 8 but find it difficult to improve after moving on to the AMC 10. The AMC 10 requires a much higher level of skill in combining algebra and geometry, mathematical modeling, and logical reasoning.

Under the coach’s systematic guidance, students in this course will gradually master essential geometry concepts, problem-solving strategies, and proof-based thinking. They will overcome this important milestone in their mathematical learning journey and build a strong foundation for advanced coursework and future preparation for the AMC 10 and AMC 12.

All required course materials will be provided electronically. Parents do not need to purchase any additional materials.

  • MATHCOUNTS Class

MATHCOUNTS is one of the most influential middle school math competitions in the United States. Each year, students in Grades 6–8 compete through four levels: school or chapter, local, state, and national, with top students ultimately competing for the national championship title. As an official MATHCOUNTS partner organization, Aixue organizes students to participate in the MATHCOUNTS competition each year.

Our MATHCOUNTS training program is taught by experienced math coaches with a strong track record in competition preparation. Our coaches have served for many years as head coaches of state math teams, training students and leading teams to the National Final. They bring extensive expertise in both instruction and real competition strategy.

    Course topics include:

    • Arithmetic and Number Theory Strategies: fast techniques for multiples, factors, remainders, prime numbers, modular arithmetic, and more
    • Algebra and Equation Solving: single-variable and multi-variable equations, inequalities, rates, ratios, and word-problem modeling
    • Geometry and Spatial Reasoning: angles, area, volume, coordinate geometry, transformations, and composite figures
    • Counting and Probability: permutations and combinations, probability calculations, tree diagrams, and logical reasoning
    • Challenge Problems and Logic Puzzles: training students to analyze and break through high-difficulty problems
    • Mock Competitions and Problem-Solving Strategies: building pacing and strategy for the Sprint Round and Target Round
    • Countdown Round Buzzer Practice: dedicated timed mental-math and fast-response practice to improve students’ reaction speed, accuracy under pressure, and competition confidence

We also offers small-group and one-on-one MATHCOUNTS competition coaching. Interested parents are welcome to contact iLearning customer support (SMS or Whatsapp) for more information.

  • Elementary Math Olympiad

Mathematics is more than calculation—it is a way of thinking. During the early elementary years, children are in a critical stage for developing logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Our Elementary Math Olympiad program is designed for students in Grades 1–4. Instead of memorizing formulas, the course focuses on developing mathematical thinking through structured problem-solving practice. Students gradually build strong logical reasoning skills and confidence in tackling complex problems, preparing them for a smooth transition to the AMC8 (American Mathematics Competitions) in Grade 5.

    Stage 1: Foundation & Habits (Grades 1–2)

Goal: Spark curiosity, develop number sense, and build strong observation skills. At this stage, abstract math concepts are introduced through visual and interactive learning, helping children move from “fearing math” to “enjoying math.” Students also develop good habits in reading problems and presenting their work clearly.

    • Fun Number Theory: Recognizing number patterns, mental math strategies, and introductory fast calculation.
    • Geometry Basics: Understanding plane shapes, hands-on shape activities, and developing spatial reasoning.
    • Logical Thinking: Pattern recognition, simple logic puzzles, and real-life math applications.
    Stage 2: Advancement & Bridge (Grades 3–4)

Goal: Deepen mathematical thinking, learn classic problem-solving models, and begin exposure to foundational AMC8 concepts. Students gradually become familiar with competition-style thinking so they can transition confidently into AMC8 preparation in Grade 5.

    • Word Problem Models: Classic Olympiad strategies such as sum-difference problems, chicken-rabbit problems, and profit-loss models.
    • Advanced Computation: Efficient strategies for fractions and decimals, and introduction to sequence summation.
    • Number Theory & Combinatorics: Prime numbers, divisibility rules, introductory counting, permutations, and probability.
    Why Choose This Program?
    • Strong Academic Foundation: A structured curriculum designed to prepare students for advanced study and a smooth transition to AMC8.
    • Concept-Driven Learning: Focus on understanding principles and reasoning rather than memorizing formulas.
    • Core Skill Development: Build strong number sense, logical thinking, and mathematical intuition.
    • Structured & Research-Based Teaching: A well-planned curriculum with clear learning goals and measurable progress.

  • ISEE Test Prep

The ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) is a standardized test developed by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). It is widely used by private and independent schools in the United States and abroad as part of their admissions process.

The ISEE is designed to assess a student's reasoning and academic achievement in key areas such as verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, reading comprehension, and mathematics. Its goal is to provide schools with a fair, consistent measure of a student's readiness for success at academically rigorous institutions.

The ISEE is available for students applying to grades 2 through 12, and it is divided into four levels based on the student's current grade:

    • Primary Level: For students applying to Grades 2–4
    • Lower Level: For students applying to Grades 5–6
    • Middle Level: For students applying to Grades 7–8
    • Upper Level: For students applying to Grades 9–12
